Microsoft Publisher: Create a Custom Color Scheme for Your Publication

Microsoft Publisher comes with color schemes, but you can also create your own!

  1. Go to the menu and choose Format > Color Schemes

  2. In the Task Pane, you might want to pick a built-in scheme that is close to what you want, but that's optional

  3. At the bottom of the Task Pane, click the Custom color scheme link

  4. Click the arrow for the color you want to change

  5. Select a new color, choosing More Colors to bring up the entire palette

  6. Do this for the other colors in the scheme

  7. When you’re done, click Save Scheme

  8. Give the scheme a descriptive name

  9. Click OK until you have exited.
