Overview
This course introduces some useful functions designed to sum or count data conditionally, including two functions that are new to version 2007. This course also includes the IF function, some text functions and utilities, and tips for working with dates. This course introduces Excel 2007 tables and includes sorting, filtering, and table formats. Conditional formatting of data and creating and modifying charts are also topics included.
Audience
The target students for this course are those who already have the skills presented in Microsoft Office Excel 2007 Level 1 and are ready to take it up a notch.
Prerequisites
Before starting this course, students are recommended to take the following course or possess equivalent knowledge: Microsoft Office Excel 2007: Level 1.
At Course Completion
After completing this course, students will be able to:
- Recall how to create formulas, use the Insert Function tool, and copy
formulas so they don't change
- Use more built-in functions than before, including IF
- Join data and parse data
- Explain how dates work, format dates in a wide variety of ways, and do
math with dates
- Use Excel 2007 tables to sort, filter and calculate
- Apply conditional formatting
- Create and modify charts
